Two solar PV facilities (Beacon II and Beacon V) are part of the Beacon Solar Project Park located in the northwestern Mojave Desert, California. Both sites interconnect for a total operating capacity of 108 MW. Power generated from the project is sold to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, contributing to its Power Strategic Long-Term Resource Plan (SLTRP) – a roadmap for providing reliable and sustainability electricity to customers. The projects have a full PPA for a period of 25 years.
The Beacon Solar Project is located in the northwestern Mojave Desert, near California City in Kern Country, CA. The project spans ~445 acres.
